Jack's Place @ Bras Basah

We finally agreed to meet on Tuesday evening after an accounting refresher class for our O-Level top student at Bras Basah.

百胜楼 was no less eerier than Haw Par Villa at 7pm with most shops closed by 6. While Bras Basah complex is known for its wide variety of art supplies, books, and stationary, it is also known for the Jack's Place outlet, located near its entrance.

After some fresh air, Pack leader Yang suggested dining at Jack's Place, a special place in his heart, and we followed him in.

Jack's Place, cozy as ever, was surprisingly lively with family diners. They looked happy. I proceeded to order seafood salad.

The 3 besties went for Weeknight Sizzling Deal - Signature mixed grill for Tuesday; each preferring different degrees of doneness for steak.

They also pleaded the waiter to sprinkle more bacon bits in their potatos.

While waiting for our food, we interrupted each other in our debates about properties, electric cars, how broke each of us is, and rising singlehood in Singapore.

For 10 minutes, Jack's Place became Jagan and son's enterprise. The bickering and trash-talk ended the moment our food arrived.

After dinner, we enjoyed smooth coffee at Rocky Master across the road. The sofa was soft, the ambience relaxing.

While sipping coffee and in between his old age home stories, Mark recommended a place at 老文利 that i could go for traditional ear-cleaning/digging service. I need a ear digger badly.

I sent them a video of Chris Leong and suggested to Yiwen and Robin that we should go for a chiropractic adjustment one day. It will help loosen up the body.

Good night. Will meet up soon. Till then! 🐻
