Lunch at Fortune Centre's Red Apple

Briyani's the Thursday lunch special at Red Apple Veggie Cafe, a popular joint in Fortune Centre, off Waterloo street.

The lunch crowd injects vibrance and frenzy into the mall, famous for Thunder rice and organic vegan haunts, 拜拜 heng-ong-huat talismans and dimly-lit massage parlours. These type of businesses thrive together. 我觉得.

We arrived early and was led to a 'VIP' table adjacent to the shop front. It would be impossible to find a seat here on the 1st and 15th of the lunar month.

Kelly went straight for char kway teow. Alan craved for sambal 'fish' wrapped in banana leaf. Eugene resisted seaweed bibimbap and whacked Briyani. Good choice.

We also ordered 2 sides and a pot of thirst-quenching herbal tea that came with unlimited refills. "不够再来拿" the elderly waitress said with smiling eyes.

Lunch was enjoyable, so were our conversations, which lingered with Rosella fragrance.

A toast to good health.

Red Apple offers a variety of daily specials. No idea what's on Wednesday. Maybe a 'sure enter heaven' horfun?

With food coma kicking in, we danced across to Sunshine Plaza in Bencoolen St and collected props designed by Kelly for ship visits and company events.

Collecting props the reason we lunched at Fortune Centre. Of course, the nearby bus 64 that stops at Blk 2 near our office, is another.

These seafaring themed props look better than those used in SOS50 celebration. I'm sure im putting them to good use already!

Thanks for reading, till then! 🐻
