Little Bubu and I visited #GardensByTheBay on a windy Vesak holiday morning, snapping photos of vibrant blooms and roses of different shades inside #FlowerDome.

Themed Rose Romance, the display trumpeted the Garden's successful partnership with the Italian embassy, celebrating the beauty of the queen of flowers in winding alleyways of Italian towns, and rustic, arcadian countrysides.

Flower Dome was packed with two-legged roadblocks of different colours and sizes, armed with one urgent task - to sniff all roses within reach or pose like one.
Bubu took a timelapse (handheld) with stable hands. Good effort.

As I eyeballed every nook and cranny, I witnessed an Incredible act. A girl, about 10, loved roses so much that she was plucking off petals, counting, as her sisters, mum and grandma looked on, compassionately, sharing their pearly whites.
Of course, that kid got a good one from me and hid behind her embarrassed matriarch. I resumed my patrolling duty, thinking perhaps I should mind my own Singaporean business.

Meanwhile, Bubu was happily snapping, and soon found me squatting and framing macro shots, among selfie-possessed grannies.

For the third time, I reminded Bubu to bring along our selfie stick on next visit. Check out these photo. Nice not?
Two hours passed in a matter of minutes, under the whispering spells of roses.
By then, we had baptised Flower Dome with footprints and believed we've experienced everything - until we saw a grumpy kid. A straight hair girl in blue denim dress, her tiny eyes twinkle like distant stars.
That little flower, about 8, whined and grunted, stamping her feet as mum showered selfies on her chubby cute twins, capturing hand-holding joy in their girly rainbow dresses.

Miss Grumpy went berserk, hopping like a kangeroo. She mati-mati refused to share her Haribo gummies with her younger sisters. So small packet, tak chukup makan.
Bubu and I debated and had fun analysing her stance. We came to the conclusion that as big sis, kindness, not jealousy, is her only way to gain mummy's love and attention.
Lesson learned: Don't buy Haribo here. 50 cents can get at Value$

Bubu's stomach soon began to growl.
Before boarding our Ding Tai Fung-bound train, we bought a pair of flower earrings at the dome as a memento of our happy trip.
Here's Bubu's earrings. Nice?

Thanks for reading, till then! 🐻
